ਸਰੀ (ਮਲਕੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ): ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੇ 550ਵੇਂ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਉਤਸਵ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਤੋਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਤਕ ਮੋਟਰਸਾਈਕਲਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਛੇ ਉਦਮੀ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾਯੋਗ ਉਪਰਾਲੇ ਦੀ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਭਰ ਦੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧ ਵਿਚ ਉਕਤ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਸੰਪੂਰਨ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਇਸ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਦੀ ਕਾਮਯਾਬੀ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਦਾ ਸ਼ੁਕਰਾਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸਰੀ ਦੇ ਗੁਰਦਵਾਰਾ ਦੂਖ ਨਿਵਾਰਨ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ ਇਕ ਸ਼ੁਕਰਾਨਾ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਆਯੋਜਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਅਖੰਡ ਪਾਠ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਭੋਗ ਪੈਣ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਗਿ. ਨਰਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਲੋਂ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਵੱਡੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਕਤ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਇਕੱਤਰ ਹੋਈ ਇਕ ਲੱਖ ਡਾਲਰ ਦੀ ਰਾਸ਼ੀ 'ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾ ਏਡ' ਦੇ ਵਲੰਟੀਅਰਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਂਟ ਕੀਤੀ। ਅੰਤ ਵਿਚ ਮੋਟਰਸਾਈਕਲਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਛੇ ਉਦਮੀ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਨਮਾਨਤ ਵੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਿੱਧੂ, ਪ੍ਰਵੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਠੱਕਰ, ਜਤਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਚੌਹਾਨ, ਮਨਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਧਾਲੀਵਾਲ, ਜਸਮੀਤਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ, ਸੁਖਵੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਰਛਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਵੀ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਸਨ।
ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾ ਏਡ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਇਕ ਲੱਖ਼ ਡਾਲਰ ਦੇ ਚੈੱਕ ਲਈ ਸਿੱਖ ਮੋਟਰਸਾਈਕਲ ਕਲੱਬ ਬੀਸੀ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ। ਜ਼ਿਕਰਯੋਗ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੇ 550 ਸਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਪੁਰਬ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਤ ਮੋਟਰਸਾਈਕਲ ਸਵਾਰ ਜੱਥੇ ਦੇ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਕਈ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਬਾਬੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਿੱਖਿਆਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫੈਲਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਉਪਰਾਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।
